Victoria Kafka Jones, the 34-year-old daughter of Oscar winner Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead inside the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco early on the first day of the year by the Gulf News and other U.S. publications. The woman was reportedly pronounced dead by the arriving emergency crew after they were called to the Fairmont Hotel early on January 1st of 2026.
The San Francisco police and fire departments were dispatched to a medical emergency at The Fairmont around 2:50 to 3:15 a.m. regarding a female who paramedics performed life-saving maneuvers on but were pronounced dead at the scene. A spokesperson for law enforcement told media sources that a female believed to be Victoria Jones has been identified, though she had not been officially identified at the time of reporting.
The San Francisco Police Department has stated that it does not suspect any foul play, pending the findings from the medical exam to establish cause of death. Various authorities have also called on any member of the community with information that might aid in investigation to come forward.
Victoria Jones had the occasional screen appearance as a young actress – she has been credited for small roles that she had in the movies and TV shows “Men in Black II,” as well as the “One Tree Hill,” and had child roles for projects related to her father.
She had mostly avoided the limelight since then. Her father, Tommy Lee Jones, had yet to comment on the matter as of the latest report available.
